Ainitia Screen Capture

Description

Ainitia Screen Capture is a Windows screenshot tool designed for users who need to preserve visual information quickly, accurately and through a comfortable workflow. It lets you capture anything from a full display to a specific part of an interface, a conversation, a technical error, a design reference, a data panel or any visual item you need to document or share.

Rather than relying on a basic system screenshot workflow, Ainitia Screen Capture brings common capture tasks together in a clear interface: choose which displays take part in a capture, select the save folder, define a base filename and use global hotkeys without interrupting your current work. Images can be saved automatically or copied to the clipboard for immediate use in an email, document, support chat or design tool.

Quick snipping lets you select only the area you need. When editing is enabled, the snip can be reviewed before copying, helping you avoid keeping unnecessary content around the important area. For repeated tasks, the fixed capture area feature lets you define a specific region and capture it again efficiently, which is especially helpful when documenting software changes, comparing window states, capturing data displayed in the same location or preparing recurring visual material.

The application is designed for multi-display setups, including monitors placed in different positions or used in portrait orientation. Users can select displays for combined capture and refresh detection after connecting, disconnecting or rearranging monitors. Its internal quick snip workflow also provides an integrated way to capture regions across the available desktop without relying on the usual Windows snipping flow.

For scenarios involving games or graphics-heavy applications, Ainitia Screen Capture provides a games/DXGI capture option when the environment supports it. This expands its usefulness for users who need to record visual moments, issues or references from full-screen applications.

Ainitia Screen Capture includes in-app license activation. Version 1.0.20 provides offline usage continuity for compatible paid licenses that have already been activated: if a connection is temporarily unavailable or the server cannot be reached, the application may continue to work until the paid expiry date. When the server is available again, its current license status takes precedence.

The application also includes per-session diagnostic logs intended to assist technical support when an issue needs investigation. These logs describe application events and technical behaviour; they are not intended to automatically upload the visual contents of captures.

Ainitia Screen Capture is particularly suitable for technical support, content creators, designers, testers, developers, gamers and any user who needs to capture and reuse visual information without disrupting their workflow.

Requirements

Compatible with Windows 10 or later. An Internet connection is required to activate the license and perform online checks. Compatible previously activated paid licenses may provide offline usage continuity until the paid expiry date when no connection is available or the server cannot be reached. Games/DXGI capture compatibility may depend on the captured application, graphics environment and permissions used. In multi-monitor setups, display detection can be refreshed from the application interface.

FAQ

Do I need a license to use it?

You can download and install the application freely, but a valid license is required to unlock all features.

What is Ainitia Screen Capture used for?

It is used to take screenshots on Windows, including instant capture and quick snipping of selected screen areas.

What can I do with Ainitia Screen Capture?

You can capture a full display, several selected displays or only a specific region of your desktop. The application is designed to quickly capture issues, interfaces, messages, designs, visual references, support information or any content you need to save or share without wasting time on manual processes.

Are screenshots uploaded to the server?

No. Captures are saved locally on your computer. The online connection is used for activation and license checks.

Does it work on Windows?

Yes. Ainitia Screen Capture is developed as a Windows desktop application.

What is the difference between display capture, quick snipping and a fixed capture area?

Display capture saves the full content of the selected monitors. Quick snipping lets you select a specific region with the mouse at that moment. A fixed capture area is intended for repeatedly reusing the same region, for example when capturing a window, counter, panel or specific part of an application several times.

Can I change the save folder?

Yes. The application lets you configure the folder where captures are saved.

Does it require an Internet connection?

The application may require an Internet connection to activate or check the online license. Available features may depend on the license status.

Can I edit a snip before copying or saving it?

Yes. You can enable optional quick-snip editing to review the result before copying or saving it. This is useful when you only want to keep the relevant information or adjust a snip before adding it to a document, conversation or report.

What happens if I change PC?

You can recover your license from the license portal. If you need to move an activation, check the deactivation options or contact support.

How is the license activated?

The license is activated from within the application through the Ainitia License Manager online system, using a valid key associated with the product.

Does it work with multiple monitors and portrait displays?

Yes. Ainitia Screen Capture supports multi-monitor setups, including displays with different resolutions, positions or portrait orientation. You can choose which screens are included in full captures and refresh detection from the interface when your configuration changes.

What should I do if antivirus shows a warning?

Check that you downloaded the installer from ainitia.com or portal.ainitia.com and compare the published SHA256 when the installer is available.

Can I use keyboard shortcuts?

The application includes global hotkey features when enabled, although their behavior may depend on system configuration and available Windows permissions.

Are captures saved on my computer or automatically uploaded?

Captures are processed locally on your computer. Depending on your settings, you can save them to your chosen folder or copy them to the clipboard. The application uses a connection for license-related processes when required, but not to automatically upload the visual content of your captures.

Does the application save diagnostic information?

Yes. The application may generate a local diagnostic log to help identify errors or freezes during use.

How does licensing work and do I need a permanent Internet connection?

The license is activated in the application using the key provided after purchase. Internet access is required for initial activation and online checks. In version 1.0.20, compatible previously activated paid licenses can continue working offline until their paid expiry date if no connection is temporarily available or the server cannot be reached. If the server later responds with an updated status, that status takes precedence.

What happens if I change computers?

Use on another computer may depend on the license terms and the number of activations allowed for the purchased key.

Can I use keyboard shortcuts and capture from games or full-screen applications?

You can configure global hotkeys to take captures and quick snips without constantly switching windows. The application also provides a games/DXGI mode option when compatible with the captured program and the system graphics environment.

Does the import include images or external files?

No. This import package only defines the product entry, content, version and FAQ. Images must be managed separately from Ainitia Admin.

What information should I provide if I need technical support?

Provide the installed version, the action you were performing and the behaviour you observed. The application generates per-session diagnostic logs that can help locate technical issues. These logs describe application events and are intended for support, not to automatically store the visual content of your captures.
